I'm referring to the endless, squabbling commentaries from people that think that they are so smart. Also, philosophy/theosophy/theology is not the property of the rich (or the poor, for that matter), rather, it belongs to anyone that seeks to KNOW; period.

   August 21st, 2008 at 15:49:53 To me, there is a tendency in Theosophy to deny diversity of religious expression; religions do not all say the same thing, or say the same thing differently; there are differences, and a beautiful, rich tapestry of interpretation is also created, within each religion. We don't need religious Esperanto, but thanks for the offer!

Because all the common man & woman does, is to feed the mouths of them rich! We are always struggling to make ends meet, who cares about religion, pilosophie, if we don't have time to think about it, & when our only worrie is to feed our mouths & our children!! where is the theosophical soc etc to save & help us with hope??? philosophie is a luxury problem.

Theosophy's teachings are primarily based upon authoritarian revelations, particularly HPB, and the word of the Masters whom only certain people (at the top) can hear. Typically, those who question the word of the Masters are accused of being under the influence of 'dark powers', welcome to the insane comedy that is theosophy, I suggest you do a little reading instead of ass kissing a useless word etymology.

   August 21st, 2008 at 18:30:46 You don't have to follow the societies ways. The word itself has an impeccable etymology, and is suitable to mean what I talk about. I don't care about the squabble's of the corresponding governing body, so long as the basis of what they teach (or were supposed to) is proper.

    August 21st, 2008 at 18:53:45 How very idealistic, however Theosophy as a collective entity is a shambles home to ideas that could easily be construed as racist (see Leadbeater's Root Races). Simply, the language and teachings of theosophy are stuck in the Victorian age and having attended meetings myself this seems to be the way they want to keep it. Under all the empty rhetoric of universal brotherhood beats a religious heart, i.e. 'this way is the right way for all humanity'. They can keep it.

    August 21st, 2008 at 19:16:44 But it isn't. It's more of a thought of unity between all. Theosophy literally means Divine Knowledge. Divine knowledge entails all knowledge that has been gathered by humanity about its Godly origins. It represents a Unity of all, not a particular dogma which opposes any particular religion. We believe we can learn from eachother, which even Ghandi believed in.
