August 21st, 2008 at 18:30:43 The character in this film is a village girl in North India. I don't think it would suit this character to do too much classical South Indian dance... Anyway, it was choreographed by Saroj Khan, one of the most famous choreographers in the Hindi film industry - so it can't be too wrong? :-)
August 21st, 2008 at 18:53:42 ya. I have the movie...the girl was okkkkk she should have put some bharat natyam into it...it makes it look more "godly?" thats what I think. Overall Lagaans a great movie!!! Its actually a play like dance about radha not liking krishna being flirty with other woman but hes saying there like stars when radha is the moon. Shes his main gurl.
August 21st, 2008 at 19:16:41 Well, I am re-enacting the dance as it is done in the film (75 %). It's a girl suspecting her boyfriend to be unfaithful, so of course the expression is unfriendly! I think you should watch Lagaan, then you would understand the way the song is choreographed.

August 21st, 2008 at 20:48:37 I think the dancing is awesome. The only thing I would point out is facial expression. Sometimes it looks like you are kind of grimacing. I'm not a dancer(Seriously, I'm the worst dancer ever.) so I have no right to bitch when you obviously have loads of talent. But from an acting standpoint, I would have more fun with it and relax the face.
