Not a bunch of bad people, but a bad environment. Maybe he should have been more responsible. Edie was not Femme Fatale. Nobody says that she was cruel. She was very fearful about love, and I can see how that could have confused men.

   July 5th, 2008 at 12:58:39 edie was not that smart. i love her to pieces and would like to think it was andys fault that she went down like she did and for a long time i did believe that but the fact of the matter is is that edie thrived on attention and did not care what she had to do to recieve it. i mean andy probaly was not that helpful when she went down but she chose the lifestlye that she got.

He was very hurt by what was happening to Edie, what she'd created for HERSELF. even before she'd met Andy she'd been in and out of mental assilams. And Andy didn't feed her the drugs and kick her out, she did that herself. she was never a very stable person, which is understandable looking at her past. But nor Andy or Edie meant harm.
